The Concerned Christian Men are always looking for opportunities to provide our students with educational books. 

 

 

This past Christmas, Concerned Christian Men partnered with Macys and Reading Is Fundamental NFP to give away over 1,200 books to 240 students at 12 of our partnering CPS schools! The donated books included historical fiction books about Hurricane Katrina survivors, entrepreneurship books about successful business men that came from low income communities, and fun fictional stories that were designed to help our young men build a love for reading. This book give away is a part of CCM’s renewed focus on building the literacy skills in the young boys we work with throughout the school year. We also partnered with the Chicago Rotary Club to give away over 540 dictionaries to 3rd graders at all of our partnering schools.
