Concerned Christian Men’s flagship activity is the Man-Boy Breakfast. (MBB) This event is held on the 3rd Saturday (9am to 1pm) of each month during the school year at a local south side high school. This monthly mentoring conference is designed to reflect our beliefs that strong and successful men with both moral and spiritual integrity should be viewed as role models for urban youth to emulate.
Concerned Christian Men has featured outstanding men from the business, education, political, legal, athletic, and religious communities. This list included individuals such as Illinois state senator, Barack Obama; President and Chief Operating Officer of McDonald’s Corporation, Don Thompson; and Former Chicago Bears Head Coach, Lovie Smith. Each Man Boy Breakfast is designed to emphasize a core value that every young man should be exposed to, and challenged to apply to their daily lives. The monthly themes and expected outcomes for each breakfast can be seen in the table below.
